Try our new tea geared to people who prefer drinking loose leaf sencha but want the added health benefits of a catechin boost. This special Sencha tea has an extra 300 miligram shot of the natural active ingredient in green tea, Catechin, added to it. Catechin is a natural tanin responsible for most of the health benefits found in green tea research. The extra tanin gives the tea a strong taste but balances the typically astringent taste of this added tanin boost with the sweeter amino acids found in green tea leaves.

This tea is produced under ISO 14001 Certified Environmental Management Standards. Japanese steamed green tea's have traditionally high antioxidant levels.

Hot Tea:
- Boil water and let cool to 200F/95C
- Steep for 1 minute (longer=stronger)
- Use approx. 2 tsp per cup
- To re-infuse use higher temperature/less time

Iced Tea:
- Pour 1 1/4 cups boiled water on 5 tsps of tea
- Steep for 3-5 minutes
- Pour into pitcher while straining leaves.
- For a quart of tea add ice & top w/cold water
- Garnish and sweeten to taste
